Privacy Policy
Last updated November 7, 2026. Draft for review before launch.
HomeAisle is a grocery ordering app for independent stores. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. Short version: we collect what it takes to get groceries from a store to you, we don't sell your data, and you can delete your account at any time.
What we collect
- Account: your mobile number (used to sign in with a text code), your first name and the app language you choose.
- Orders: what you ordered, from which store, your substitution choices, notes to the store, and a delivery address if you choose delivery.
- Payments: card payments are processed by Stripe on behalf of the store you order from. HomeAisle never sees your full card number. EBT SNAP payments are taken by the store in person or through Forage; we never see your EBT card number or PIN.
- Live video: if you turn on live video picking, the call runs through LiveKit and is not recorded.
- Device and usage: crash reports and basic usage events so we can fix problems. No advertising identifiers.
- Location: only if you allow it, to show stores near you. You can always type an address instead.
How we use it
- To send your order to the store and keep you updated by text message.
- To let the store contact you about your order (for example, a substitution).
- To keep the app working, secure and improving.
We do not sell personal information and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Who sees it
- The store you order from sees your name, phone, order and delivery address, because it is the seller fulfilling your order.
- Service providers that run parts of the app: Supabase (database and sign-in), Stripe and Forage (payments), Twilio (text messages and calls), LiveKit (live video), Uber Direct or DoorDash Drive (courier delivery, when a store uses one), Sentry and PostHog (crash reports and usage).
- Authorities when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Your account lasts until you delete it. Stores keep order and receipt records for as long as tax and SNAP rules require, with your name and phone removed when you delete your account.
Your choices
- Delete your account in the app under Account, or at homeaisle.app/delete-account.
- Text messages: order updates are sent by text. Reply STOP to stop marketing texts; order updates continue for orders in progress.
- Location: change it any time in your phone's settings.
Children
HomeAisle is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
